FDA Regulatory Status
Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved drugs. The FDA has removed both medications from its drug shortage list (tirzepatide in October 2024; semaglutide in February 2025). Compounded medications prepared by licensed 503A pharmacies for patient-specific prescriptions may still be legally available.
Compounded medications have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or manufacturing quality. They are prepared by licensed pharmacies based on individual prescriptions from licensed providers.

Clinical Trial Results
Weight loss results referenced on this website (approximately 15% body weight loss with semaglutide, up to 22.5% with tirzepatide) are derived from clinical trials of FDA-approved brand-name medications (Wegovy®/semaglutide 2.4mg per the STEP 1 trial; Zepbound®/tirzepatide 15mg per the SURMOUNT-1 trial). These results may not reflect outcomes from compounded versions of these medications.

State Availability
NuviaRX services are not available in all states. Prescriptions are issued only by providers licensed in your state of residence. Compounding pharmacies fulfill orders only to states in which they are licensed to dispense.
Independent Providers
Licensed prescribers who provide consultations through NuviaRX are independent contractors. Clinical decisions — including whether to prescribe any medication — are made solely at the discretion of the independent provider in accordance with their professional judgment and applicable standards of care. NuviaRX does not direct or control the clinical judgment of any provider.
